Detour at EXPO 2025 Osaka and Tokyo

The legendary power of creativity on paper

Moleskine and Moleskine Foundation present DETOUR, the travelling exhibition of artists’ notebooks, Italy Pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka,  July 31 - August 23.

More than a hundred unique works by artists from all over the world will be on show in Osaka, helping to raise awareness of creativity as a tool for social change. Among the selected artists: Giorgia Lupi, Antonio Marras, Pascale Marthine Tayou and Joana Vasconcelos.

"Detour is a celebration of diversity and human creativity," says Christophe Archaimbault, CEO of Moleskine. "Each notebook tells a unique story, reflecting the background and vision of the artist who created it as they release their human genius. We are thrilled to bring this extraordinary exhibition to Osaka, a city that perfectly embodies the spirit of innovation and creativity."

Created in 2006, Detour, is much more than a simple art exhibition: it is an experience, which transports the visitor into the heart of the creative process, from the mind of the artist to the page of the notebook.
